I was trying to avoid a post about MJ, but apparently it is unavoidable. I am just as big of a fan as everyone else my age. There’s no way you could’ve grown up in the 80’s and not have felt his influence in some way. Who didn’t try wearing one glove while grabbing your crotch screaming “HO!” All of us did.
Anyway, the best tribute I’ve seen to Michael was the opening of the Simpsons last night where they played “Do the Bartman.”
Also, for the next few days on MySpace, Heypenny has posted their unreleased track “Ticket” which is a timely tribute to MJ.
Here’s what they had to say: “It’s tragic that Michael Jackson’s gone from our world. We can’t do much in remembrance, but we’re going to post a new and unreleased song that’s completely inspired by and about him. It’s called Ticket. We’re going to have it up for a couple days. Dust off your best MJ moves. We hope you like it… ”
Here’s Heypenny doing a different tribute of sorts.
